After years of planning, construction of a senior housing project at site of the ‘Aiea Sugar Mill is about to begin! A groundbreaking ceremony will take place on October 17 from 1-3pm.
Note that EAH, the entity responsible for the project, has informed the ACA that they will begin to clear the overgrowth during the week of October 9 to ready the site for groundbreaking. Expect activity in the area.
Please see the following fliers for some upcoming Project Dana workshops taking place on October 11, 14, and 28. These are valuable opportunities to learn more about elder care. The specific topics include: Adult Day Health Centers (Oct. 11), Advance Care Planning (Oct. 14), and Caregiver Training (Oct. 28).
