If you would like to help to assist those affected by the horrible tragedy in Lahaiana, volunteers at Loko I’a Pa’aiau (the fishpond located in the McGrew Point area) will be hosting a supply drop-off today, Friday, August 11, from 2-6 pm.
The fishpond is located at 122-184 McGrew Loop, Aiea, HI 96701.

- Water & non-perishable food
- Flashlights & batteries
- Baby wipes & body wipes
- Toiletries
- Medicine
- Clothing
- Blankets & towels
- Futons or air mattresses or sleeping cots

From Pearlridge Center’s management:
Pearlridge Center will be hosting a live concert on July 3, 2023, from 5 pm to 9 pm. The headlining band is Common Kings (https://commonkings.com/about), an American/Hawaiian/Samoan reggae band from Orange County whose debut album was nominated for a grammy!
Common Kings will be preceded by additional participating performers.
The concert will take place in the Wai Makai Food Truck/old Sears Parking Lot area.

Honolulu Board of Water Supply Confirms Low Level Detection of PFAS at Kaamilo Wells Pumping Station

The Board of Water Supply (BWS) has confirmed the low-level detection of various perfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) at its Kaamilo Wells Pumping Station., which is located in Aiea. Please see the media advisory for more specifics:
Two community events will happen on Saturday, April 22, 2023!
The Friends of ‘Aiea Library will be holding a book sale from 9 AM to 2 PM at the Aiea Library. Tell all your friends and family to come down to buy some really cheap (but high quality) books (and other media, including DVDs and vinyl records)! As usual, proceeds from the sale will go toward supporting the ‘Aiea Library’s programs. Mahalo to Karen for her hard work in putting these book sales together!
Also on Saturday April 22, our friends at Loko Iʻa Pāʻaiau will be holding a community work day from 9 AM to 12 PM in observance of National Lands Day and Earth Day. If you would like to participate, please contact them on Instagram or email ealapaaiau@gmail.com!
